Way of the Cross in Santa Maria de la Redonda Cathedral

Yesterday Salesianos Los Boscos Choir had the opportunity to participate with its songs in the Way of The Cross organized by Mary Magdalene  Brotherhood. The event took place in La Redonda Cathedral, and representatives of all brotherhoods in Logroño participated.

We show you some of the pictures taken during the celebration, in which some of the children from the school read passages of the Stations of the Cross before all the audience.

Don Boscos' Mass

Another year Don Bosco Mass has taken place. This celebration signs the end of a week of celebrations in which the school is full of activities, music and people.

The girls and boys from the choir arrived first to the church to prepare their voices before the Mass started.

 

 

Each year the choir participates in this Mass brightening the celebration with their songs and girls and boys take up more and more space in the school, that’s a good sign because this implies that the choir is growing up year after year. We are glad to see (especially in the youngest faces) the excitement that performing with the choir makes them feel.

After the entire week with activities, excursions, parties and songs the voices of our children were a little resentful. But that wasn’t an impediment for them to make us feel their enthusiasm.

St. Pablo's Church

On Sunday 27th of January, Los Boscos Salesianos choir participated in a Mass for missionary childhood which took place at St. Pablo’s church in Logroño. Kids from the church collaborated making a village for children in need. Besides, during the celebration they showed flags from every country in the world symbolizing that we’re all one and we have to help each other.

Girls and boys from the choir went with happiness to sing the rehearsed songs because for most of them it was their first time performing with the choir. Within the church and under the watchful gaze of all the attendees, they sang songs like “Maria, Maria “Salve Don Bosco Santo “Padrenuestro” “Quisiera hacerlo yo” “Aleluya” “Traerás La Paz”, etc.

When the Mass ended, all pupils went home to get strength for so busy days that were coming.

New faces in the Choir

With the new participants, the choir already consists of a group of 60 students from 3ºEP to 4ºESO apart from the teachers that participate and collaborate. Year after year, the group is growing steadily and we hope to continue like this for many years.

Video Merry Christmas

This year, to wish you all a ‘’Merry Christmas’’ the educational community of Los Boscos school has participated in the recording of a Christmas musical video.

Teachers, students and even fathers and mothers have collaborated for the fulfillment of different takes which, under the supervision of Ángel Alsasua, have been added to create the video that we show you here. From the youngest of  the centre to the oldest, they have sung for days the song ‘’Happy Christmas’’ with which all school want to transmit a binding message, that we hope it spreads further than these days.

The recording and assembly of all the material has been achieved by Germán Ortega, who is the father of one of the students of our school.  We thank him for all the effort and patience.
